"Presbyterian Disaster Assistance (PDA) is very thankful for the tens of thousands of people who proudly wear blue t-shirts earned through the sweat equity they invested through their gifts of time and talents. Because of their gifts, hundreds of people have returned to their homes and are welcoming a “new normal” in their lives following disaster.

Support Coalfield Development Corporation. Brandon Dennison's organization is working locally to reclaim wood from structures to be demolished. This organization trains young people to make furniture, flooring and lumber rather than sending the wood to a landfill.

Bell Renovation Update

The renovation of our 1898, 32" bell is continuing. Representatives from the McShane Bell Foundry were in the belfry on Wednesday, June 3rd with new parts in hand to begin the re-assembly.

More Light Presbyterian Director to Speak

Alex Patchin McNeill, executive director of More Light Presbyterians (MLP) and the first openly transgender person to head a mainline Protestant organization, will preach at the Shepherdstown Presbyterian Church (SPC), Sunday, June 7 at the 8:15 a.m. and 10:45 a.m. services and hold a question and answer forum at 9:30 a.m. MLP is a support and advocacy organization dedicated to making the church more open and welcoming of all people. SPC is a MLP affiliate member.
