COMMEMORATING ASSASSINATION OF MLK, JR. Wednesday, April 4, marks. the 50th anniversary of the assassination of Martin Luther King Jr. The National Civil Rights Museum in Memphis is asking “churches and campuses to toll our bells 39 times to honor the number of years Dr. King dwelled on this earth and to pay homage to his legacy.” At SPC, we will gather in silence for our monthly Taize service, and call ourselves to prayer with the tolling of our bells at 7:05 p.m.
