Teen Week

Sunday, Jun 23 | 9:00 am to Thursday, Jun 27 | 12:00 pm

The theme of this year's TEEN WEEK is Justice for ALL! Christians Respond to Injustice.

We have a great week planned for youth 6-12 grades. Cost: TBA (no more than $75 which includes lunch, drinks & snacks). During the week we will explore social justice and how Christians can respond to injustice. Some of the things we will look at are economic injustice, immigration, & interfaith understanding. Sunday afternoon we will share worship together and define social justice. Monday – Thursday we will do activities that build on faithful responses to injustice including going to Immanuel House in Martinsburg, meeting youth from ADAMS Mosque, and possibly going to a church sponsored Refugee Center. Fun stuff too: swimming, picnic, ice cream sundaes!

For more information or to sign-up youth contact Rev. Dee-Ann Dixon or New Street UMC office (304)876-2362, nsumcpastor@frontiernet.net or Rev. Karen Erskine-Valentine or St. Peter’s Lutheran Church office (304)876-6771, reversk@gmail.com.

We are in need of adult chaperones and drivers for some of our field trips. Please contact us if you are able to help. Teen Week is sponsored by the Shepherdstown Ministerial Association.
