Inclusion & Equity
Inclusion & Equity
SPC affirms the full dignity and humanity of all people.
LGBTQIA+ Rights
Volunteer with EPYA, the Eastern Panhandle Youth Alliance, supporting LGBTQIA+ youth.
Help plan or march in our annual Pride Service or Shepherdstown’s Pride Parade down German Street.
Join our advocacy work through More Light Presbyterians, a national network for LGBTQIA+ inclusion.

Racial Equity and Justice
Inclusion at SPC also means reckoning with racial injustice, past and present. In partnership with the NAACP and with the guidance of the Equal Justice Initiative and in service to truth telling, we installed a memorial marker for Joe Burns, a Black man who was lynched near Shepherdstown in 1886.
