Presbyterian Women's Group

Presbyterian Women of Shepherdstown Presbyterian Church (SPC) is an inclusive caring group of women from the church and community meeting monthly for book study, prayer and fellowship. The group also gives to local, national and international missions. Meetings are typically held the first Thursday of the months September through May from 10 AM -noon. SPC’s Presbyterian Women support the purpose of the national organization which is as follows:

It is not a social or cultural movement, it is a political movement, and its ultimate goal is power. So states Katherine Stewart in her book The Power Worshippers: Inside the Dangerous Rise of Religious Nationalism. Join us for a discussion of this eye-opening and chilling look at the rise of the Christian right, its political motives, and its threat to American democracy.

Hymn Sing on the Portico at SPC

HYMN-SING ON THE PORTICO, FIRST SUNDAY OF EACH MONTH AT 4:00 p.m. Our First-Sunday-of-the-Month Hymn Sing will be outdoors and under shelter. All are welcome; no singing expertise is necessary. Terry Tucker leads and accompanies the hymns with autoharp as we sing for one hour. The community is welcome, so please invite your friends and family to join us.

Explore, experience, and practice various spiritual disciplines such as inner silence, meditative music, insight meditation, passage meditation, loving kindness, prayer, and others. Yarns & Threads - Fellowship Hall

YARNS AND THREADS GROUP.  A group of knitters, crocheters and embroidery-ers and makers of anything with yarn or thread meet once a month to work on various projects, including prayer shawls and baby blankets. Please join the group in the fellowship hall, no reservation needed, just show up.
