Since 2007, Kidz Power Pacs (KPP) has been sharing God’s love and generosity. A project of Combined Community Ministries, this volunteer-fueled program is a supplemental weekend food program that serves approximately 1000+ children in Berkeley and Jefferson counties. The children KPP serves are identified as the most severe food insecure students. Each week, students receive 2 bags consisting of sustenance foods such as: can of soup or ravioli; canned chicken or tuna; packets of oatmeal, peanut butter, granola bars, mac n’ cheese and more.
When the Shepherdstown-based Caring Cupboard had to close its doors, KPP was able to step in. With the addition of the Shepherdstown schools, KPP now serves students in every public school in Jefferson County. SPC has provided financial support to KPP since 2019.
