Christ Is Risen! Christ Is Risen, Indeed!

6:30 AM-- EASTER SUNRISE SERVICE, at the Rumsey Monument Park off Mill Street in Shepherdstown. This is an informal time for song, silence and sharing. We’re gathering on the grass below the monument, so please bring a chair or something to sit on and dress for the weather. You’re also invited to bring a special reading (a favorite poem, a story, or scripture) or share a song with the group. 

8:30AM-- IN-PERSON WORSHIP AT SPC. Our 8:30 a.m. service takes place in the Sanctuary. Please read the information below for what you need to know about attending a service at SPC.

11AM-- IN-PERSON WORSHIP AT SPC. Our 11:00 a.m. service takes place in the Sanctuary. Please read the information below for what you need to know about attending a service at SPC.

11AM – ONLINE. FACEBOOK LIVE ONLINE WORSHIP, 11am Sundays. Access the service at https://www.facebook.com/groups/spcworks and wait for the “live stream” preview window to appear (look for the word "LIVE" in a red box in the upper left-hand corner of the preview window. You may have to scroll down to see it). THE PREVIEW WINDOW WILL NOT APPEAR BEFORE 10:50am, please wait for it. A Facebook account is not required to access this service of worship. Worship materials are attached below.

“LOOKING FOR THE LIVING,” Easter Sunday, April 20, both services. Based on Luke 24:5, “Why do you look for the living among the dead?” NO SUNDAY STUDIO - Children are encouraged to remain in the sanctuary for our Easter celebration. Nursery is available for children under 5.

 

WHAT YOU NEED TO KNOW ABOUT ATTENDING A SERVICE AT SPC:

ARRIVING AT THE BUILDING
• THE NURSERY WILL BE AVAILABLE: (see above)
• All entrances to the church will be open; Hand sanitizer and masks will be available for those who need them
• Masking is now Recommended but not Required for those who are vaccinated when entering the SPC building.
• Masking remains Required for those who are not vaccinated when entering the SPC building.
• Masking remains Required for everyone when entering the Church Office.
• The front five rows have information sheets on the seats that explain that the service is being broadcast and that people in these rows may be visible on the streaming broadcast.
• There will be no seating in the balcony to permit maximum flexibility for the technical crew.

DURING THE SERVICE
• The service will be live streamed from 2 different mounted cameras. Although it is not our intent to show views of the congregation, parishioners sitting or standing in the first 5 rows may, at times, be visible on the broadcast. Ushers have been instructed to have fans running and to leave sanctuary doors open during the service.

LEAVING THE SERVICE
• Coffee is available in the Fellowship Hall.
