Sackcloth and Ashes — Isaiah 58:6
Recovering the ancient Hebrew practice of public mourning and humble commitment toward justice, our traditional imposition of ashes will include an opportunity to pin a ribbon of sackcloth on our clothing or place a larger ribbon of sackcloth around our necks. We may continue to wear this symbolic sackcloth throughout the Season of Lent if we wish.

Oxfam Hunger Banquet

Sunday, Mar 23 | 4:00 pm to 5:00 pm

ARE YOU READY TO DO SOMETHING ABOUT HUNGER? Join us, Sunday, March 23rd at 4:00 pm at the Community Club for an Oxfam Banquet. Draw a ticket assigning you to a high, middle, or low-income tier, and receive a meal that coincides with how someone at that income level might experience food. Your ticket will include the portrait of your character. A master of ceremonies will guide us and guests will come together to share their thoughts and take action. Families are welcome to bring their youth and children. LET US KNOW YOU’RE COMING!
